So, without further ado, here are five of the best side hustle ideas you can try out in 2020 to get that extra income you always wanted without a hassle.

1. Freelance:

Freelancing is a popular side hustle that you can start immediately. Whether you are skilled at photography, writing, marketing, graphic designing, or any other category, you can work for many companies that hire independent contractors. You can even sign up for freelancing platforms like Upwork and Fiverr to find clients.

2. List your spare room on Airbnb:

A great way to earn some extra cash is to list your spare room on Airbnb. You can earn simply by being a good host and having a desirable space for people to live when they’re traveling and looking for a space to live for a short while. However, do check out your city’s hosting laws before listing, as they vary from city to city.

3. Sell handmade goods:

If you love making handmade crafts and DIY goods, then you can consider selling them online. With the help of online buying and selling platforms like eBay, Etsy, Amazon Handmade, and even Shopify, you can quickly sell your handmade goods to people from the comfort of your own home.

4. Drive for Ride-sharing companies:

Another excellent side hustle is to register as a driver for ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft. You can set your schedule and drive people to their destinations with the help of their easy to use application.

5. Develop online courses to sell:

If you’re an expert in any field and love to share your knowledge with others, then you should develop a course that you could sell to people that are looking to learn a new skill to achieve their personal or professional goals. You can check out Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) like Udemy or Teachable, to know how you can create an online course and sell it to the right audience. However, the platforms do charge a fee for putting up your online course for sale, so be sure to check that out when you are ready to develop an online course for generating a passive income.

Everything considered…

Starting a side hustle may sound like an easy thing to do, but it requires patience, hard work, and one’s commitment to succeed. However, thanks to technology, there are a ton of side hustle jobs that you can choose to start even from the comfort of your own home.

  2. Great post! Buy and selling on ebay has worked well for me, as have sites like mTurk – though it takes some time to do enough hits that you get ranked high enough to get the decent ones. And Fivver is pretty tough to break into now – hard to get started because there are so many people with tons of reviews.
